FOR TEAMS / 45 MINUTES

Make disagreement
useful.

A simple facilitated session gives quiet evidence a chance to surface before the most confident voice decides.

00–05

Define the decision

Write the exact choice, owner and deadline where everyone can see them. State what is outside the room's scope.

05–15

Silent evidence first

Each person writes what they know, what they assume and what information is missing. Collect observations before interpretations to reduce the effect of speaking order.

15–28

Make the alternative case

Ask one group to argue for the strongest credible alternative. Invite the dissenting view without assigning its author the burden of proving everything.

28–38

Choose a test

What is reversible? What small action would eliminate the biggest uncertainty? Who owns the test, and when will results be reviewed?

38–45

Document the call

Record the choice, why it was made, assumptions, dissent, and the trigger that would cause a rethink. Send that summary to the team.
